I learned the guardrail thing when we drove to the top of Pikes Peak! I was too busy burying my head to look at the pretty view. My lovely husband who apparently has no fear of heights, kept saying "If we went off that edge we'd just keep rolling and rolling".

Reminds me so much of the gorges in the Bavarian/Austrian alps...beautiful photos!

Yep! Pikes Peak did me in too. We had a vanagon standard shift and found out gasoline bought in CO was a must. Long story short, we got to just about 12,000 feet on the dirt road with new vehicle that kept stalling and then a thunderstorm came up and we had to turn around on this dirt road and come back down the mountain -- lighting, rain, mountain side, car full of kids and a panic stricken wife and the stalling car my husband finally conceded. 10 years ago no children and a cog ride up the mountain we experienced Pikes Peak! Now Mt. Washington in NH we never got to drive up, they close that in fog.

LOL, I know exactly what you are saying! We also live in the great state of Colorado and I have MANY a time hit the invisible break pedal. This is a running joke with my husband and I. Beautiful scenery though if you can get over the heights! I love your blog by the way. Very nice. God bless you!

There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my bread with you, and sometimes share a sorrow, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can sit an hour with you, and I can share a joke with you, and sometimes share reverses, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my flowers with you, and I can share my books with you, and sometimes share your burdens, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my songs with you, and I can share my mirth with you, and sometimes come and laugh with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my hopes with you, and I can share my fears with you, and sometimes shed some tears with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my friends with you, and I can share my life with you, and oftentimes share a prayer with you.
