Your photos are making me homesick! My mother is Bavarian, and I grew up in Munich and visited my grandparents in Schwabhausen bei Dachau every weekend. Back then it was all farms; now it is all houses full of commuters to Munich. My family goes back hundreds of years in that region, and every time I see an onion-domed church I am filled with longing.

I would love to know how you made the move to Germany!

Hi Kim, if you look up you should be able to find corner pockets of Mary or Christ or gargoyles. That is one of the fun things to find when you are out and about. And the different paintings along the bldgs.

It should be soon time to find the schnee glocken, little white flowers that are the first to show up. Often through patches of snow. Then the Ostern Glocken, dafidils will be next. (sorry for the spelling) And you should have lilacs for your birthday. Put some in a vase for Barb and Becki too. Then the birds will change, look for the little yellow ones that look like a dandilion and sometimes can be found sitting on a cow.

PS where is the grey and blue pottery? (go to Speicher).

Oh gosh Karen you will make me cry. I was just thinking last night how I love the smell of lilac. Have a candle in my room. It's been a long time since I have been near much of the real thing. Just wishwe weren't all going to be an ocean apart for the birthdays this year. : /
Will definitely start looking! I have some things pushing through the front flower bed through the snow. Too soon to tell what they will be but exciting!

There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my bread with you, and sometimes share a sorrow, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can sit an hour with you, and I can share a joke with you, and sometimes share reverses, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my flowers with you, and I can share my books with you, and sometimes share your burdens, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my songs with you, and I can share my mirth with you, and sometimes come and laugh with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my hopes with you, and I can share my fears with you, and sometimes shed some tears with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my friends with you, and I can share my life with you, and oftentimes share a prayer with you.
