Just popping in for a moment today to share some lovely places I have visited lately. Google reader changed its format it seems and I haven't had time to figure out where the share button went. I think my shared items are rather camoflaged in the sidebar anyway. So first,
My 50's Year Oh my! I expect to spend some time digging through the archives. This blogger chronicles a year spent living as authentically as possible as a 50's era housewife. She wore only clothes from vintage shops or made from vintage patterns. Used only appliances from the era. Cooked from 50's cookbooks. Fascinating all around.

Victorian Trading Company Such incredible seasonal items. Sigh. Probably closer to my era of choice though that would be a tough call. It all inspired me to take some vintage shots of my girls who very graciously humored me. : )

Share button is gone. No more "note in Reader" or share boxes on blogs, either. You can share via Google+, if you're a Google+ person. I think google is trying to make everyone a Google+ person:-). So far, they're just making me annoyed. Someone on Facebook told me that Friend Feed has a sidebar widget and is compatible with Reader but I haven't had the chance to explore. I really just stopped to tell you that your header is beautiful:-).

Love the photos of the girls! My "vintage" changes with the season. :) In the fall and winter, it's all about Victoriana for snuggling into our more "Indoor" life -- with warm velvets and chenilles and crazy quilts; in the spring, I'm all 1930s efficiency in my overalls and aprons, planting the garden; in the summertime, it's got to be the easy breezy 1950s, with the cool aquamarines and whites and boycut swimsuits and upswept hair... I don't think I could choose an era to live in, because there are things I so like (and so don't like!) in each!
