Kim, why not make a pretty cowl? There are some really lovely patterns on Raverly and it would give you a chance to practice more with circular needles. You can do an advanced search, plug in the yarn you want to use, how much you have, needle size and pick from there.
Have a happy yarn along.

Kim! Great job on the hat. Please let me know if you need anything knitterly shipped from the States ... I love enabling!

I have a HORRIBLE time with my knitting tension, though I'm usually consistent--consistently WAY too tight. It's taking a while to get the hang of it.

What a sweet little hat. I simply made hats and hats and scarves and scarves for years because I didn't know how to make anything else. Now I'm fumbling my way through a sweater (two years and counting lol). I love knitting, love it, but I, too, have a hard time matching stash with supplies with workable patterns.

If you like working with the circular needles, how about some leg warmers? I'll send a link for a pattern if you need one. Are you on ravelery? Find me -- scmom.

Very sweet hat! And I must check out the W. Bennett book.
Blessings,

It really turned out beautifully! You should be proud!
And I love The Winged Watchman. :)

There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my bread with you, and sometimes share a sorrow, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can sit an hour with you, and I can share a joke with you, and sometimes share reverses, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my flowers with you, and I can share my books with you, and sometimes share your burdens, too.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my songs with you, and I can share my mirth with you, and sometimes come and laugh with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my hopes with you, and I can share my fears with you, and sometimes shed some tears with you.. There isn't much that I can do, but I can share my friends with you, and I can share my life with you, and oftentimes share a prayer with you.
