One of these nights soon will be the last we hike through the forest surrounding our village. I can't seem to get enough and wish to plant these sights deep in my memory, for we will not be back down these roads.
I did a quick spin in my spot listening to the birds on this damp evening. It probably loses something in recording but it was a beautiful walk nonetheless.

Gorgeous! Love the picture of the trees. +JMJ+

Loved that, Kim! Thank you so much for sharing that captured moment.
I go for morning walks, usually before my husband leaves for work. I had been using my earbuds while listening to music or an audio book. But this week I haven't done that. Instead I've made it a point to listen to my surroundings instead. I've really enjoyed trying to pick out certain sounds. And of course the sounds of the birds are always delightful. It's been a good thing. :)
God bless your day.

I am not an earphone/ipod person but I can't convince too many other people to lose the headsets while walking. Good for you! I think it helps to connect more with the moment and the place.

Beautiful, Kim--both the photos and the bird sounds. Prayers for your new journey ahead.
