I love it! But why do they start with the swim? It seems like it would be a good thing to end with. Who wants to run wet? I am sure there is a good reason, I just don't know it.

50 feels more like 24 to me :-) But then I have always been particularly young at heart ... Congrats to your husband on the triatholon pursuits! Since my brain tumor seven years ago I have been continually delighted and astonished at how physically fit I can be, despite disability (no running or swimming here! But i've ridden my recumbent stationary bike every day since coming home from the hospital and I am fitter than I ever was before).

Teresa I think swimming first is a safety issue. They don't want anyone exhausted in the open water. There is actually a racing suit under the wetsuit which dries very quickly during the bike portion.
