I thought I got a bachelor's degree in liberal studies because I was indecisive and it was easier then delving deeper into one subject. Your post makes me think it was just prep for me to be a homeschooling mom, which is how I'll think of it from now on.

I agree. This is what I love best about homeschooling, too. (Also, I now have a new appreciation for Rip Van Winkle since we've moved here, near where his story takes place!)


This is an excellent post with a message I have been tooting for years. You wrote it so well and I love it!

I suspect those "complicated, and costly, lesson manuals" are born from eager writers who want to share what they have found with people who haven't realized how simple the whole process really is. ;)
